Technical Asphalt and Paving Questions

  1. What type of asphalt do you use, and how do you choose the right mix for my project?
We use hot mix asphalt and tailor the mix based on your project’s specific requirements, ensuring durability and performance.

  2. How long do I need to wait before driving on my new asphalt?
You should wait at least 24-48 hours before driving on your new asphalt to allow it to set properly.

  3. How long does asphalt take to fully cure, and what should I expect during the curing process?
Asphalt takes about 12 months to fully cure. During this time, you might notice softening in high temperatures and hardening in cooler conditions, which is normal.

  4. What can damage my new asphalt, and how can I protect it?
New asphalt can be damaged by power steering marks, oil stains, and excessive weight. Regular seal-coating and cleaning can help protect it.

  5. How thick should my asphalt be, and what factors determine the appropriate thickness?
The thickness depends on factors like the expected load and usage. We assess each project to ensure proper installation for long-term durability.
